This is the most flavorful noodle soup and udon I've ever eaten! It's full of flavor and texture. The veggies are crispy but not to the point when you can't taste them. The tofu soaks up the broth. Literally can't be better than that. I still dream of this soup and want to come back! Everyone is always nice and helpful! It's not loud inside and music is pleasant.

First of all, the location is great! Plenty of free parking on Sunday night, and close enough to downtown that you can catch a bite before a show without having to limit yourself to the pricier downtown restaurants that may not be as dietary inclusive or fast. The menus are the QR code ones, but they do have paper ones on request. I'm vegan, so it's always good that I have my choice of whatever I want from the menu. My partner has celiac, so it was a bit more difficult for him to decipher the QR code menus. While things are labeled as gluten-free or gluten-free optional, some items contained deep-fried foods that were made in a shared fryer. However, our server clarified all our questions fairly easily and double checked on things they weren't sure of. All that out of the way, my partner was still able to pick three onigiri and a few of the noodle options. I ordered the rhubarb onigiri and a curry udon soup. Our food came out fairly quickly after ordering- we arrived around 6:45 and were out of there by 7:30pm to catch at 8pm show downtown and didn't feel like we were rushed. The food itself is pretty good. Flavorful broth on the soups, nice onigiri that held together. We spent about $50 for the two of us with three onigiri to take home. One suggestion- the QR code ordering is nice, but the system they use doesn't allow for shared tabs, and we ended up paying for our meals separately because we both ordered from our own phones. I've seen ToastTab at other restaurants that put all the orders on one list and have the option to split the check.

I'm not lying when I say that their udon is the best I've ever eaten. Tempura is crunchy, broth is full of flavor, great potion and simply delicious. Love the interior of this place. Their sake selection was interesting and service is welcoming and friendly. Great place for comfort food even if you're not vegan :)

Enter into a wooden ambiance with lots of seating and vegan food. I came with a friend. I got to eat a yummy udon dish that hit the spot on a cold, windy Saturday. Overall, the udon was tasty and the portions of the soup, noodle, and toppings was appropriately consistent. The ordering system was pretty simple since you can order everything via QR code. For an udon spot, I thought that this was helpful because sometimes I don't want to bother the waiters/waitresses. I just want to have a conversation and eat my food. Kudos for Obon Shokudo to move in this direction but also indicating the old fashioned way if you want. The improveables are noodles and broth. I thought the noodles could have been a bit more firm, it felt a bit too soggy. Furthermore, the broth flavor could have had more impact. It was pretty bland.
